Horce Racing

History

The origins of horse racing go back to ancient times and the chariot races of the Roman Empire.  Norse mythology carries stories of Odin, the great Got, racing horses and across the world people share a passion for one of the oldest sports in the world.   In our petrol driven age it seems that this primitive mode of transport still captures imaginations and has a universal appeal.

Our Quiz

Recognising that horse racing is one of the world’s favourite sports, here at soyouthinkyouknow, we have the best horse racing quiz on the net.  If you’re an equestrian aficionado or frequent better, you’re be pleased with the breadth and depth of our question database.

Though most of the questions in our quiz are about British horce racing, some of the questions are tougher and call on your international horse racing knowledge.
John McCririck would find our quiz challenging but if you know half as much as the eccentric pundit, you’re in with a good chance of winning a great prize.
How many races did Gordon Richards win? What was the crime that landed Lester Piggott in prison? Which Spanish jockey has made the biggest name for himself in the UK and how many legs does a horse have (ok that last one was pretty easy)?
As sports go, horse racing is one of the most fact filled out there, with perhaps the most loyal and knowledgeable fans in any sport.  In order to collect your winnings you need to know about form and have a personal database of horses and trainers and racing tracks.  Put this knowledge to the test and if you reach level 2 you will get £5.  Thereafter you’ll be entered into a draw with the opportunity to win some great prizes.
